Setting the Record Straight:
NewBridge’s Commitment to Community
Recently, a story in The Capital Times raised concerns about NewBridge’s services for Black older adults in Madison. While we respect the role of the media in highlighting community issues, the article did not fully reflect our commitment to serving all older adults equitably.
NewBridge has long been dedicated to providing culturally relevant programming and essential services for Black, Hispanic, and all older adults in our community. We recognize that there is always room for growth, and we are actively working to expand outreach, improve communication, and ensure fair access to programs and resources.
We want to be clear that any suggestion that NewBridge favors one group over another is not reflective of our mission or values. Our goal has been to create inclusive, welcoming programs for all older adults, and we do not believe in pitting communities against each other. Instead, we focus on listening, learning, and evolving to better serve everyone in a fair and equitable manner.
